HV Engineering worked with Gene Juarez Salon and Spa from 1999 - 2001 to provide state of the art spaces in several locations around Seattle. Tenant Improvements for Gene Juarez include the 12,000sf downtown Seattle store (1997), the 9,000sf Southcenter store (1998) and the 24,000sf Bellevue store.

Gene Juarez is a hair cutting and beauty salon/spa which continues to develop cutting edge technology to better serve it’s clients. Projects with Gene Juarez utilize quality finishes and associated mechanical/plumbing systems throughout.

An example of these quality finishes includes the “Vichy” shower. These showers dump up to 35 gallons per minute and create a tremendous challenge to our plumbing systems for domestic water heating, storage and controls. Additionally comfort conditions need to be carefully maintained by the HVAC system. We have developed solutions over the years in tandem with the plumbers and sheet metal contractors to make this showering system a unique part of the “spa” experience in the Gene Juarez salons. Significant similar challenges throughout the rest of the facility were met and solved in the HVAC and plumbing designs provided by HV Engineering.
