This project developed a new senior living community in the Rancho San Diego community just east of San Diego proper. Included in the 353,000sf facility are 84 assisted living and 210 independent apartments for a total of 294 apartments.  The site for this project was uniquely flat and presented few significant design challenges other than the shear size of the project and high quality of architectural development. We eliminated much of the overhead ducting in the common areas by utilizing underground ducting to allow for higher ceilings, giving the project almost a cathedral quality in the architecture within.  Construction was completed in the fall of 2004.
