Mechanical design for 11,000sf, 18 car vehicle maintenance bay. Project developed a manufactured metal building with gas fired infra-red heating and gas fired unit heater systems, underground vehicle exhaust and overhead compressed air at each work station. A 950sf office area and 2,000sf parts and tool room were also included in the facility. The office was fully heated and cooled with a forced air gas furnace while the remaining areas were heated only with gas fired unit heaters. Challenges in these type of facilities require the coordination of overhead elements of the mechanical with such things as vehicle lifts.
